We started the blog because of our own journeys within the trans community.
Chelsea
I identify as a trans-woman. Currently I am attending California State University Sacramento as a graduate student in the sculpture department. Most of my work draws on my experience transitioning from male to female. You can check out my work at www.ChelseaThompto.com.
Currently I am heading The Origami Swan Project; an international collective art piece meant to bring support and awareness to the trans community. Read more about the project by clicking here.
Sara
I identify as non-trans (aka: cisgender). I own two businesses No Coast Paper Co. where I design stationery products and greeting cards, and I co-own a small publishing company, Shiny Happy People Publishing, LLC.
I assist with The Origami Swan Project through helping run social media campaigns and logo/poster design.
We both have a strong passion for trans awareness and trans rights, along with human rights in general. We're using this blog as an outlet for the many thoughts and experiences we encounter within the LGBT community, with an emphasis on the T.
Comments are always welcome, but they will be monitored for tolling, and blocked as needed.
